A few days ago, a user on Reddit named Redlightning_lab posted some pictures of this person dressed as the character Shimotsuki Ryuma from One Piece. Instead of transforming into a young Ryuma, the coser dressed up as a zombie Ryuma (Ryuma appeared as a zombie in chapter 450 of the One Piece manga).
Shimotsuki Ryuma is a legendary character in One Piece. He was one of Wano’s strongest samurai, the greatest swordsman of his time, and once slayed a dragon. The Straw Hats encounter a zombie version of Ryuma in Thriller Bark. Zoro defeated this skeleton and was eventually given the sword Shusui by Ryuma.
In his elaborate cosplay, cosplayer Redlighting_lab recreated the face of a skull wrapped in bandages, wearing a kimono, bandages wrapped around his head and holding the black sword Shusui in his hand. The cosplayer creates many different poses in front of red lights and smoke to create a spooky feeling for zombie Ryuma.
Admiring the unique Ryuma cosplay images, fans praised the realistic look of this cosplay. From the kimono to the sword, everything seems exactly like in the anime. The cosplay looks so realistic that it feels like a real three-dimensional version of Ryuma.
One Piece fans even called this cosplay “the most beautiful” and “impressive”, among other compliments. Someone commented that: “By far one of the best cosplays I’ve seen of One Piece is this one. From the lighting, the camera angles, the costumes, the makeup, the precision. This is a masterpiece.”
