It turns out that the “revealer” here is Ly Hai!

Flip Face of Ly Hai has reached part 7, marking a difficult, ups and downs but also meaningful filmmaking journey for the director. Flip 7: A wish Focuses deeply on family elements, telling the story of the main character Mrs. Hai (Thanh Hien) waiting for her child to return. After an accident, Mrs. Hai was planned to take care of her five children, thereby opening up many stories worthy of sympathy and respect about family and human love.

There is actually a reason to Flip 7: A wish “say no” to drama, fighting, gore or “market” arguments. After watching the 138 minutes of the film, the audience may sob because they miss their parents, because the love for their family suddenly emerged strongly, but they also understand that until now, Ly Hai feels complete. Because, until part 7, Ly Hai was able to create a film dedicated to the most special “audience” in his life – his family, a film in which his mother, wife and children, Your relatives of many generations can sit together and enjoy until the last second.

Ly Hai single-handedly helped 50 actors shine

Right from the start, Flip 7: A wish has been considered “the youngest child with a difference” throughout the series Flip Face. The film has notable firsts, such as the first no explosions, no action, and first series Flip Face The main character is female, and she is also a veteran actress in her “twilight years”. Not to mention, this is also Flip Face has the most actors participating, with a number of up to 50. Therefore, Ly Hai is definitely “suppressed” by the pressure to create a script that is heavy enough, touches the heart the most but still ensures quality. cinematic quality.

The success that Ly Hai brought through Flip 7: A wish That is sincerity and simplicity. This is the core of Ly Hai’s filmmaking and professional journey over the past decades. Flip 7 contains a story about motherly love, family love, things that seem too simple and have been exploited to the point of exhaustion. In the movie, no one is “villain” or evil, but no one is completely pure either. The characters of Flip 7 It’s just that I’m so focused on myself that I forget about my surroundings, forget that I still have a mother waiting for me to come home.

The choice of veteran artist Thanh Hien as the female lead shows Ly Hai’s understanding of the story he wrote. Thanh Hien has always had a gentle and honest acting style, not “shouting” or “sour”. That’s why, in the role of Mrs. Hai, Thanh Hien easily became the bright spot and the “heartbeat” of the whole film. Along with that, the 5 children played by Truong Minh Cuong, Dinh Y Nhung, Quach Ngoc Tuyen, Tram Anh and Kim Hai all own each of their segments, no one “overwhelms” anyone and no one falls behind. . Each person with each personality, in each place scattered throughout Vietnam but still incredibly connected, not only through mother’s love but also the common heartbeat of kindness.

With a cast of up to dozens of people, the fact that Ly Hai helps each name, even if it’s just a cameo role for a few minutes, shine and be remembered is truly incredible. Even the child stars, Mrs. Hai’s adorable and innocent grandchildren, all have brilliant acting, know how to emphasize words, raise their eyebrows and wink, and cry honestly. Ly Hai himself also sacrificed himself, playing the most “hateful” role of his career, but that doesn’t make him forgettable. Regarding actors, Ly Hai always has the right to be confident because he has done well from part 1 until now.

A sincere story but too “ideal”

The beauty of Ly Hai is Flip 7 That is to divide the film’s content into small “skits”, but that does not make the film become fragmented and patchy. Walking through each house, each family of the five children in the film, the audience can understand that sometimes it is not that children lack care for their parents, but that life is too cruel and dark. On the contrary, if money or work is lost, it can be earned back, but parents only have one and only one. Sometimes, we just “overthink” and think that we are the ones who have to “bear the burden” of the family, but “parents raise children from all walks of life”, sometimes parents become the ones who rescue and help us. overcome life’s hurdles without even counting the merits.

So meaningful and sincere is Ly Hai’s journey to rebuild these incomplete “houses”. Flip 7 easy and too “ideal”. All problems in the film are resolved smoothly and briefly, like a storm that suddenly died out as if it had never happened. The characters all have suffering that has been stored up for months or years, but is finally resolved in less than a few days. This promotes the importance of Mrs. Hai in the children’s lives – a mother who “talks less and does more”, silently helping her children heal the bad things in life. The overly positive ending of each small family and the extended family later unintentionally causes the story line to pass too quietly and still.

Not to mention, Flip 7 It still cannot be called “excellent” or “flawless” because there are still errors. Some lines in the movie are still “bookish” and long-winded as if memorized, for example some passages from Mrs. Hai or the two children of eldest brother Hai Khon. In addition, the film’s effects still have certain limitations, causing the viewer’s visual experience to be interrupted. In return, the film’s shaping and scene design are extremely meticulous, while contributing to portraying Vietnamese nature and culture naturally, in harmony with the flow of the plot.

Scoring: 3.5/5

If say that Flip 7: One Wish Nothing “overturned” is not entirely true. Just bringing a completely different genre of film compared to the previous 6 parts has turned Ly Hai and Minh Ha into the most prominent “face-turning elements”.

This is definitely the movie part Flip Face Ly Hai put the most effort into building the script, because his only “heavy weapon” this time was only emotions. Luckily, the U60 director completely made the audience cry because of his extremely sincere and rustic perspective on mother-daughter love. As the “father” of the film, Ly Hai cannot avoid minor errors and limitations. He is neat but not perfect. However, as a son, Ly Hai is certainly extremely happy when his wish to finally take his mother and relatives to the theater to enjoy his movie has come true!
